Wild Basin Outfitters offers guided fly fishing trips in Rocky Mountain National Park for the beginner or experienced fly fisher, with a client to guide ratio of no more than 2 to 1.  This level of personal service allows us to always be close to help land fish, take photographs, or provide tips and instruction.

We are a catch & release company which means that the only things we bring back on any of our guided trips are photographs and great memories. 

Wild Basin Outfitters only offers half-day and full-day walk & wade trips in the Park.  We will not offer classes, overnight hiking or horseback trips in 2008.

Wild Basin Outfitters is fully insured and bonded, and has valid permits to operate as an Outfitter in Colorado (Outfitter #2210), as well as in Rocky Mountain National Park.  We are proud to say that we have not had any clients hurt, nor have we ever been cited for any violations.  All of our guides are not only experienced fly fishers, they are also certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid and CPR. 

We are also members of the Federation of Fly Fishers and Trout Unlimited, non-profit fly fishing organizations that are dedicated to conservation, restoration and education.

Your Guide:

Chris Conway is the President & founder of Wild Basin Outfitters, and will be leading all trips for 2008.  With over 30 years of wilderness fishing experience in Alaska and throughout the West, Chris leads trips into the "wild" side of the Park, making sure that his clients have a safe and satisfying trip.

Chris is a sought after speaker on fishing in Rocky Mountain National Park, and is currently working on writing a definitive guide to fishing the Park.
